Mumbai City - First impression

The facilities

On the day I arrived in Mumbai I went to see the company's office, possible future head office of Cimpor India and my office too (now you understand why I am working on the plant in Sikka-Jamnagar). Localization is perfect on the center of Mumbai but faraway from the airports. Some cleaning, painting and new furniture and I will move there.

Mumbai - The city

Mumbai is huge city with twice the population of Portugal. Is impressive to see the huge amont of people, cars, motorbikes, bicycles, people, people, and people walking around. We also see the construction impulse going around.

Now it's the raining season so if you want to come here think twice, stop it is better not to think, just do not come. Why? Do you want to know why? Ok. just two reasons: you can't get to the city center, it takes you more time to get there than to fly to Lisbon! And second, probably your returning flight may not exist - ask our CimporTEC colleague (Maybe the flight did existed but he forgot to see it on the ghost flights board).

Even if you want to come, and if you are lucky, some one will pick you up at the airport, if not, try to catch a taxi motorbike or have my number.
Do you smoke? bad for you because probably you will not have anything to light the cigarette after passing through the three security checkpoints (police loves to touch you).

Car only with driver. Money use the cash machine and take a lot, the city is very expensive but it as a lot to offer, nice places to see and to have fun.

Best Regards, rduarte
